2. Scope & products covered
This policy covers all six Pixsora products:
- Flipy — online photo gallery delivery for wedding and event photographers
- Select Me — desktop photo culling application (macOS / Windows)
- Live QR — real-time event photo sharing platform with QR-based guest access
- Pixsora Designer — album design tool for wedding and event albums
- EventumVfx — video editing presets, magnetic mask effects, and project templates (forthcoming)
- Livo — desktop live broadcast switcher for event streaming (forthcoming)
Each product handles a different type of data. Section 5 explains what each one stores specifically.
3. What data we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number (where required), and a password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Business information — studio name, branding assets, watermarks, and other content you choose to upload.
- Photos & videos — the media you upload to Flipy galleries, share via Live QR events, or process in Select Me / Designer.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor; we receive transaction status, not your card details. See section 7.
- Communications — emails or messages you send to support.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, error logs, and approximate timestamps. Helps us improve the products.
- Device information — operating system, browser, screen resolution, and a non-identifying device fingerprint where needed for license enforcement (Livo and Select Me).
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address only (city / country level), used for tax determination and fraud prevention.
- Cookies & local storage — to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Information from your guests / clients
When your clients or event guests view a Flipy gallery or join a Live QR event, we collect minimal information: their name (if provided), email or phone (if provided to receive their photos), the photos they download or favorite, and a face-photo if they opt in to the FindMe selfie-search feature on Live QR. This data belongs to you (the photographer) and is governed by your relationship with your clients.
4. How we use your data
We use the data described above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the products you use
- Process payments and send receipts
- Send transactional emails (welcome messages, payment confirmations, expiry warnings, password resets)
- Deliver photos and videos to you and the people you share with
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Comply with applicable Indian and international laws
- Respond to your support requests
We do not sell your data, your photos, or your clients' information to third parties. We do not use your photos or videos to train AI models. We do not show advertisements inside Pixsora products.
5. What each product stores
Stores: photographer account, gallery photos and videos, gallery view/download analytics, client favorites, watermark settings, custom branding.
Cold storage: for accounts with large archives, photos older than a configurable age may be moved to cold storage; access remains seamless but may be slightly slower for older galleries.
Stores locally: the photos you cull stay on your computer. Select Me does not upload your raw photo library to our servers.
Stores remotely: account, license status, credit balance, and (only when you explicitly trigger it) a generated gallery uploaded to a Google Drive folder you authorize. The QR-share feature uses our server only to host the small gallery preview link.
Stores: event metadata (name, date, photographer), uploaded photos in two sizes (high-resolution original + 2000px web-optimized version), guest interactions (favorites, downloads, FindMe selfie matches), event QR codes.
FindMe (face matching): when guests opt-in, we generate face embeddings (numerical vectors via InsightFace) from their selfie and from the event photos to match them. We do not store the selfie photo or face embeddings beyond the duration of the event, and embeddings are deleted automatically when the event archive expires.
Stores: album projects, layout designs, photo references, and exported PDFs.
Local-first where possible: ongoing edits are stored on your device; we sync to our servers only as needed for cloud backup and cross-device access.
Required third-party software: Pixsora Designer operates as an extension and requires Adobe Photoshop 2025 or later to function. Imagenomic Portraiture 4 is also required for retouching workflows. These are third-party products owned by Adobe Inc. and Imagenomic LLC respectively. Pixsora does not provide, sell, distribute, or license Photoshop or Portraiture; you are responsible for obtaining valid licenses for these products directly from their publishers and complying with their respective terms of use.
Stores: account, license status, downloaded preset packs, and project templates. The video footage you edit stays on your computer; EventumVfx does not upload your video files.
Required third-party software: EventumVfx is a collection of presets, templates, and effects designed for use with Apple Final Cut Pro. Final Cut Pro is required to install, run, and use EventumVfx assets. Final Cut Pro is a third-party product owned by Apple Inc. Pixsora does not provide, sell, distribute, or license Final Cut Pro; you are responsible for purchasing a valid license directly from Apple and complying with Apple's terms of use.
Stores: account, license status (3-device limit), and encrypted preset manifests for show layouts and tally configurations.
Local-first: live video streams pass through your local OBS / NDI setup. Livo does not route your video content through our servers. Asset library files (graphics, lower-thirds) are stored content-addressable in our R2 bucket so the same asset is shared once across your devices.
6. Third-party software requirements
Some Pixsora products are designed to work alongside, extend, or operate as plug-ins for software made by other companies. These third-party programs are not provided, distributed, sold, or licensed by Pixsora. To use the Pixsora products listed below, you must independently obtain and maintain valid licenses for the required third-party software directly from its publisher, and you must comply with that publisher's terms of use, end-user license agreement, and privacy policy.
Pixsora Designer
Pixsora Designer requires the following third-party software to function:
- Adobe Photoshop 2025 or later — owned by Adobe Inc. Pixsora Designer operates as an extension to Photoshop and cannot run without it. Pixsora is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Adobe Inc. We do not provide Photoshop, do not sell licenses for Photoshop, and do not facilitate access to Photoshop in any way. You must obtain a valid Adobe Creative Cloud subscription or perpetual license directly from Adobe.
- Imagenomic Portraiture 4 — owned by Imagenomic LLC. Required for retouching workflows. Pixsora is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Imagenomic LLC. We do not provide Portraiture, do not sell licenses for Portraiture, and do not facilitate access to it. You must obtain a valid license directly from Imagenomic.
EventumVfx
EventumVfx requires the following third-party software to function:
- Apple Final Cut Pro — owned by Apple Inc. EventumVfx is a collection of presets, templates, magnetic mask effects, and project files designed exclusively for Final Cut Pro and cannot run, install, or be used without it. Pixsora is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. We do not provide Final Cut Pro, do not sell licenses for Final Cut Pro, and do not facilitate access to Final Cut Pro in any way. You must purchase a valid Final Cut Pro license directly from Apple via the Mac App Store or Apple's authorized channels.

- You are responsible for compliance. You agree that you will only use Pixsora products in conjunction with legally licensed copies of the required third-party software. 7. Third-party services we use
To operate the products, we rely on the following service providers:
- Razorpay — payment processing for Indian and international cards, UPI, netbanking, and wallets
- Google Workspace / Drive — when you opt-in to Drive uploads (Select Me), we use Google's APIs under your authorization
- Email delivery provider — for sending transactional emails such as receipts and welcome messages
- InsightFace (open-source library, run on our own servers) — for the FindMe selfie matching feature in Live QR
These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service to us, and are bound by their own privacy commitments and data-processing agreements.
8. Payments & billing
All payments are processed through Razorpay, a regulated payment service provider in India. When you make a purchase or subscribe:
- Your card or UPI details are entered on Razorpay's secure interface — they do not pass through our servers.
- We receive only the transaction status, amount, payment method type, and a transaction reference ID.
- We use this information to grant access to the product or feature you purchased and to issue receipts.
- Tax invoices are issued in compliance with applicable Indian GST regulations.
Refund requests are handled per each product's published refund policy. Email support@pixsora.in with your order reference and we'll respond within two business days.
9. Data retention
We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service:
- Account data — for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain certain records (for example, tax records under Indian law are kept for 8 years).
- Photos in Flipy galleries — kept until you delete the gallery or close your account, subject to your storage plan.
- Live QR event data — retained for the duration of the event package you purchased (typically 30 days for the Basic / Standard / Premium tiers), then archived and eventually deleted unless you choose to renew or export the event.
- FindMe face embeddings — deleted immediately when the event ends and archived photos are removed.
- Backups — encrypted backups may persist for up to 35 days after deletion before they're rotated out.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the EU GDPR, and similar regulations), you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct — fix inaccurate or incomplete information
- Delete — request deletion of your account and personal data
- Export — receive your data in a portable format (photos, gallery contents, account settings)
- Withdraw consent — for any processing that relies on your consent (such as the FindMe face match feature)
- Object or restrict — to certain processing activities
- Lodge a complaint — with the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction
To exercise any of these rights, email support@pixsora.in. We'll verify your identity and respond within 30 days.
11. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- HTTPS / TLS 1.2+ for all connections between your device and our servers
- Passwords stored using industry-standard hashing (never in plain text)
- Access to production systems limited to authorized personnel with multi-factor authentication
- Encrypted backups stored in geographically separated locations
- Regular review of access logs for unusual activity
- Razorpay-handled payment flows so we don't store sensitive card data
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
12. Children
Pixsora products are designed for professional and adult use. They are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Note: photographers using our products may legitimately photograph minors in the course of weddings, school events, etc. In those cases, the photographer is the data controller responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from parents or guardians; we act as a data processor on the photographer's behalf.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our products, our practices, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we'll notify active users by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our products after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
